The Des Moines Register says Altoona, Iowa, may have landed a $1 billion dollar Facebook data center project, code-named ‘Catapult’. With Facebook developing green initiatives and touting data center resource efficiency,  I wonder if the possibility of locating in a state that generates 25% of its electrical energy from wind is playing a part in the companies decision making process.
